Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - OEM HK A2 rear metal plate

To celebrate my approved F1 stamp I ordered an A2 stock from HK Parts. It arrived yesterday. The stock looks unbelievable. I did notice the rear metal plate has a slight movement to it. This is the metal plate which acts as a buffer. Is it normal to have slight movement or should it be solidly molded into the rear of the stock?

I have two and there is a slight movement in both of them - same with the HK33/93 A2 stocks I have.

Yep, normal.  When it's on the gun the recoil spring bears against it so it won't rattle or anything.  They might have left it a little loose on purpose so it could "float" and help the recoil rod and spring to not bind up.
