Does anyone know were I can source the spanner nut that secures the bolt????

Maybe check with Brian Dick. If he doesn't have spares, he may know a source. They seem to be harder to find than they ought to be.

Apex and Century got a lot of Enfield parts from either Samco or Springfield Sporters, you might check with them.

Liberty Tree and GPC are out.

Come to think of it, I may have seen some on eBay not that long ago too....

I slightly modified a spanner bit from a set of security bits.  I am not somewhere that I can get to it, but it worked fine.
