I’m a sucker for pump shotguns of just about any flavor. KY Gunco had Silver Eagles (Turkish) on sale for $195 shipped so I ordered a couple. I picked up from FFL yesterday not examining too closely. I was looking them over today and one of them has a cracked barrel at the muzzle about an inch long....
I’m pretty disappointed, I was expecting some cosmetic imperfections probably, but not a damned cracked barrel. I’m going to contact TR Imports tomorrow and see what can be done.  Attached File |

The only cosmetic imperfections are in that pic. I could live with everything except that crack. Everything else looks pretty good, chrome lined bore/barrel and all.

What's the barrel length on it? That sight looks like it could be moved back and the barrel shortened if they don't take care of you.

Well I have several Turks I paid slightly more for a couple of years back that are absolutely great. At 2 bills in the current times I wasn't expecting perfection, but definitely not a cracked barrel.

Just curious OP, does that crack go all the way through to the bore?
It's a very odd flaw. |

If it has interchangeable choke tubes the barrel probably split while it was being reamed / threaded for the chokes when it was manufactured or when the choke was installed.

Talked to TR Imports today and they sent me a label and are going to make it right, they were very nice about it.
