I’m looking for a mid-tier 1-6 LPVO for my SCAR17.  Something $500-$1,000.  What would you suggest?

Vortex PST II

The other option if you add a little bit more money is a 1-8 Trijicon Credo

I have some but I really like a Compact ACOG better.  The 2x with a red crosshair mounted in a La Rue RCO mount would be my pick.  It's a really light compact system with great handling characteristics.
As for a LPVO:

I know this is more than you want to spend but 1.8 to 10x  covers a lot of territory

Thanks.  I seen that but the low price kinda told me it wouldn’t be durable enough for a 17.  I use 2 other Viper PST Gen II’s here (5-25 and 5-12)  and they were considerably more expensive.

The Primary Arms stuff is nice too, and they advertise it's all "SCAR rated".

I had two PSTs that both had issues.  avoid.

I now have a credo and its been flawless.  highly recommend.

google will turn up a long thread here on the Credo, its why i got one.  no regrets.

I have this, and I picked it because it is a simple line reticle with a red dot, which is daylight visible.  It is a solid piece of gear.

My LGS has them for $549.

I have a credo 1-6 that’s was phenomenal all last season for 2 gun matches. Granted it wasn’t mounted on a SCAR 17 but I think it’s a great optic for the money

You can get a Razor II 1-6x for less than $1k. I think they're an excellent option.

I have Bushnell 1-6.5x SMRS II optics on my 16 and 17. They were a good deal when I bought them on close out, but current prices I would get a Razor if shopping new. You might check the EE for the SMRS if you want something cheaper and are willing to go used. You might find one for around $600.

Had a Razor HD Gen II E 1-6x24 on my 17. Love the optic and moved it to my 16 after I sold the 17.

I have a Trijicon ACOG 3x24 with a Holosun 407 on the boss above it.
I have a cantilever ADM a ACOG mount and together it weighs 10.7 oz.
I’ve hit steel out at 500 yards regularly with PPU 193.
Total cost was about $900. (Used ACOG).

I would pick up a used HD Razor Gen II. I see the JM reticle ones go for like 900 ish on the secondary market. You'll have to get a mount separate but it'll be worth it imo.
