I have some mild loads with Unique... I can't recall the charge weight but it's under max, as a good plinking load.
I have loaded max with Blue Dot and Power Pistol, both of those will throw some fireballs. |

8.0 grs of Unique. This is for a 180 gr. Speer Gold Dot but I use Hornady XTP bullets just fine. 1,138 fps.
9.3 grs of Power Pistol. 1,296 fps. 180 gr. bullet. I use the online reloading data from Hornady and Alliant. |

I only ever use Blue Dot.
10 grains with a 180 grain bullet for 10mm Hercules (I mean Alliant) should just re-name it 10mm Dot With what you have, I would try Power Pistol. Alliant shows a Max load of 9.3 grains with a 180 FMJ |

I worked up from 8.0 grs Power Pistol to 8.5 grs.
Fine load, but I was looking for full power loads with Longshot, 800X, and Blue Dot. Blue Dot was my favorite of those. |
