Got an email this morning that the NSSF has decided to double membership dues for retailers. I've been a member for a couple years now.  Besides having a terrible website, what benefit is the NSSF giving me? I donate to FPC because its easy to see what they offer. Same with Great Lakes Gun Rights.

What am I missing?

I appreciate the response. I’m trying to justify the expense going forward. I don’t have anything against them, as I said I’ve been a member for a couple years.

I just don’t feel like I’m getting much for my money, especially since they’re doubling the fees for retail/range. I assumed, or perhaps more accurately hoped, that I was missing something.

I felt the same way when the chamber of commerce renewal letter came this month as well.

They offered me a three year renewal for $270, I think I'll sit this next year out & skip Vegas.  SHOT was very important to me this year, and I got what I needed from it.  Next year I don't think it would be so rewarding.
