What happens if you buy an NFA item and the dealer goes out of business prior to the tax stamp coming?

Assuming the dealer did not go out of business for nefarious reasons, the stamp will come in and he will xfer it you, sans 4473.

This happened to me, and I was the dealer.  

It's no big deal at all.  The dealer gets the approved form as before.  You pick it up.  If the dealer is totally out of business, they just hand over the gun and the approved paperwork.  If they've let their SOT lapse, they do a 4473 and hand over the gun and the paper.
