Looking for your input on what you think is the most reliable C&R pistol would be.   Let's narrow it down to 9mm as being the minimum caliber.   thx ya'll.

A Daewoo is a C&R?  Is Daewoo even 50 years old?

If you can find one an East German Makarov in 9x18.

A Browning or FN Hi-Power in 9x19.

OP........you do know that any firearm 50 years old or older is a C&R right?

Virtually any Colt Government Model or variant, FN/Browning Hi Power are just as reliable now as they were in 1970.

Unsure if they are C&R, but any of the Czech CZ 82/83 pistols have always worked for me.  Other dependable ones have been:

Sistema 1927
1962 BHP
EG Mak
Modele 1935 MAS pistol
WWI Ruby
Any Tok
Star Super in 9mm Largo
Astra 400 and 600

The only pistols I have ever had that were problematic were a 9mm Chinese Tok, a P08 Luger, and a P38.

Or a Colt 1873-type in .45. Doubt you will beat them for reliability.

No. The firing pin will break if you dry fire. It’s an overall weaker design than the TT-33.

I like mine. Trigger is nice, gun is accurate. I had to change out the mag release, though. It was very gritty.

Out of several that I’ve owned, the only issue I’ve had is the slide lever spring breaking....it still worked fine otherwise, just couldn’t lock the slide back or release with the lever.

Probably a Makarov or a Smith&Wesson revolver of some type.

A makarov, the AK of handguns (seriously, take one apart there are so few parts in the thing its absurd).

Russian ones are the most collectible and $$
Bulgarians are least expensive but not C&R
DDR are middle priced but nicest quality IMO, and I think C&R

It hard to pick the most reliable. Most are Military Surplus.

They are generally picked for reliability.

They almost all work with FMJ, but not all work with JHP
