I bought a sante fe model 1947 in 30 06. The receiver appears to be be a Mauser 98 but it is scrubbed .

That is a put together, likely with a cast receiver, they built a bunch of Springfields also they were sold cheap, I had a Springfield at one time.

I don’t think it’s a cast receiver. There is pitting below the wood line and a small maltise cross stamped on the undersold of the receiver
