Cleaning up an old Mauser for someone. 7mm bore brush is too small. What size brush do I need. Original barrel.

How about a picture?  People rebarrel mausers all the time, for all we know it is .458 Lott or something.

As an actual military caliber, it should be 8mm (7.9x57mm) mauser or .308 (7.62x51mm) if it was converted by Israel.

Try a regular .30 cal bore brush, if its too small try a .32.
