@thehun06

Don't see many of them period.  Mostly they run the Elcan 6x on the Mk17s.  I'll look to see if any Mk20s have them.  None here at the moment but I'll be on the look out for the reticle next time I see one.

Does anyone know how the UID looks on a Leupold ECOS-O?

I believe they are etched in the scope top up top by the objective...but I am wanting to see what info is etched so that I can have a UID label made for my ECOS-O H-59.

Final piece acquired. Correctly marked Delta mount. Was a bit of a bear to find.

Special thanks to @kalmar @tinycrumb and Jeremy from ADM for the help along the way.

Guys, just a heads up.  There is a rare non-folding FDE SCAR MK16/MK17 stock in new condition on GB right now.  It's listed as "FN SCAR 16 or 17 non folding stock"

MK16 clone question: I’ve always liked the look of the AAC 18T flash hiders that give the SCAR the legit MK16 look. If I put one on my SCAR, would an AAC M4-2000 mount to it or would it have to be a 51T these days to properly mount?

That would depend on if you had a first or second generation M4-2000. First generation had the 18 tooth mount.

Does anyone know if the Surefire Fa762sv suppressor is ever going to be made available again to the public?

I know they were were available sometime last year for a time, but since then everyone is showing out of stock.

They've only been released in small batches two or three times.  Last I heard they weren't going to be released again but I imagine they will randomly drop a batch on the civilian market but unless you've got some insider information I'm not sure we'll know when that may be.

Yeah - that's pretty much what I suspected - didn't know if anyone had heard anything new though.

Thanks.

@Combat_Diver

Forgive me if this has been asked already, but have you seen any SCARs (Mk17 or Mk20) chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor over there? Are there any plans to do so?

I believe some M110s in 6.5 made it overseas, so I was curious if any SCARs did as well.

6.5 Creed was supposed to be adopted.  Haven't seen any guns or ammo.

Maybe the clone world is a tiny share of business for FN's commercial market, but I feel like many SCAR owners would want of these - I know I'd buy one in an instant.

I wonder what it would take for FN to release these to the commercial market like they have with other military issued products, especially more recently, the SCAR 20S.

Dammit, I want one of these...

SCAR20s makes the rifle part easy.

Depending on what optic you want to clone. It can get $$$.

If you want to run an ECOS-O...it can get spendy.

I went with the ECOS-O H-59 Kit. Tracked down a set of Tenebraex TT covers...which is getting harder and harder to find since they have discontinued it.

I'd probably roll with a Nightforce. I've become accustomed to Nightforce as its on my MK13 Mod 5 and my MK12 Mod 1. I'm a bit confused by the Surefire option for the suppressor. Is it the same SOCOM RC? I doubt it is given the look of the flash hider on a lot of these pictures I'm seeing in the thread. This MK20 SSR rifle would be a build I'm swapping out for the KAC M110 dream I'm starting to think needs to be on the back burner.

The Surefire SCAR suppressor is very rare...and $$$ when they release it in limited numbers. That part of the cloning...I've given up on and I will just roll with my YHM once it is out of jail or...will run a dedicated reflex/OTB AMTAC suppressor.

NF is a solid choice.

This is the optics you can run if you want to clone:

MK20
Nightforce NXS 3.5-15
Vortex Razor HD 3-18 and 4.5-27
Leupold MK6 3-18 H59 (Tremor reticles are in use as well)
Aimpoint T1/T2 offset and DAGR

I absolutely love the H59 reticle...it is simple...effective...and takes any guesswork out of ranging out to 600m...passed 600m...you just have to know your holds relative to the target size (I highly recommend a mil dot master)

Maybe the MK17 with an AAC can is a better route. I'm bowing out of the Knights M110 arena for now because of the 11k price tag to build the rifle, so theres no sense in trying to build a MK20 and chase that Surefire can if they rarely if ever make them. I have had 0 experience with the H59 reticle, but I haven't heard anything, but solid things about it. Maybe be time to consider it.
