Any knowledge on caliber for most of these setups? Looking like a lot of 300BLK use and I think the German with the FDE variant is rocking a 5.56, based on the length of the setup but not entirely sure.

I can only go off what information the internet has as open source. But for users of .300BLK MCX I have come across: - Australian State Protection Group (South Wales) - Netherlands Maritime Special Operations Forces and the Dienst Speciale Interventies - Poland Grom - USA SOCOM There might be other groups but haven't found anything open source. A l ittle disappointed this thread isn't full of MCXs out in the woods or in interesting urban landscapes.

Thanks for the update. I'm curious to see if the MCX will continue to grow, in terms of adoption and sales. Not a bad start for it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I think at this point it's an actual certainty, especially when (most likely) the Spear (large frame MCX) gets adopted for the Army's Next Generation Squad Weapon-Rifle. View Quote |

The army hasn't actually complete a weapon swap program since the M16 was adopted. All they did was scale it down to the M4 or the Mk18, or scale it up slightly for the Mk12. Everything else they've done has just been wasting money. Once NATO became a thing, the military lost the balls required to completely switch weapons systems. "But but but... IT WON'T BE NATO COMPATIBLE!!!" Who gives a shit? NATO is almost as useless as the UN. They can't even be bothered to show up to joint exercises with real rifles. NATO tripwire bases have their uses, but everything else about NATO just holds us back. I won't be surprised at all if the NGSAR gets shut down too. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Here's an MCX in the urban jungle, nonchalantly waiting for an unsuspecting arfcom user to stumble with a wallet full of money. They're a stealthy, but deadly hunter. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/408302/IMG_20200309_144644-1308742.jpg View Quote There already is a MCX owners picture thread here: https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/Sig-MCX-MPX-Photo-Thread/45-442386/ |

So that's another transitional handguard. I was calling it a Vegacy for awhile (half Virtus, half legacy), but I decided that's too gay. Without counting KeyMod slots, I think that's an 11.5" barrel. SO I NEED ONE OF THOSE. BADLY. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Quoted: Take a look around for MCX hybrids, I saw a bunch of them on armslist awhile back. I picked up one with the transitional receiver and handguard; it's got fewer cutouts in the receiver, and the handguard looks like it's made on the same extrusion as that of the Virtus, with the steel QD socket. One here And another here. Older posts, you’d have to look hard to find them, these days. The receiver is Legacy length, compatible with older handguards, just with different cutouts. ETA: I asked Coregon about these awhile back when I was setting up a meet to pick up the MCX, but he didn’t respond. @coregon |

Love to know how these came about, when they started being produced and if they're still available for sale. I've got a 13" but I've met a couple dudes that'd love to get some of the SBR-length ones, myself included. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Hard to say exactly when they started being made - since they were on complete guns, and not actually meant for individual availability, it’s harder to internally track when they came about. |

Any that are out there are just overruns. The only OEM Guns they shipped on were the M400 hybrid guns. I think some individual rails went out to Lipseys about the same time, which would explain any you were to find individually.
