Just pulled the trigger on an M82a1. By the time I get it out to the range it'll be in the 30's outside. I'd like something soft/padded to rest my cheek against instead of the bare steel. I know the M107's come with some kind of padding for the cheek and I've seen guys add what looks like moleskin there. Any suggestions on what specifically tends to work well AND not peel off in time?
Thanks!
Wanted: Barrett M82a1 50bmg. PM me if yours needs a new home.
I made my own from an old mouse pad. Cut out to the shape you want and DAP glue it in place. Did mine about 20 years ago. It's about time to cut it off and replace it when I strip it to have it ceracoated
I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.
I have a custom one i had made, and the Barrett one... They are both ok.. Ended up with one from a Lin Schryver that he had made out of thermoplastic... Its my go to now..
call Brian Potempa at 414 588-5198.. I think he ended up with the extras when Lin shut down.
This is the custom one I had made.. It takes different foam strips inside to bring the cheek to the proper placement..
