About to buy some gear off of eBay thanks to a buddy on here. Just want to double check and see what everyone is using for a chest rig, mag storage and other gear for their M1A's.

Any suggestions or links would be helpful.

I’ve always liked the old Sotech Tomcat.

ALICE mag pouches hold 3 AR mags or 2 M1A mags.
Also the Brit PLCE ammo pouch holds 3 of each.

I use the SOE 308 Micro rig. It will hold 7.62x51 (x4), 7.62x39 (x3), or 5.56 (x6).

Be sure to spend the extra $50 and upgrade to the padded H-harness straps. I carried four AK mags in it in Afghanistan and it was a heavy sonofagun with just nylon straps over my shoulders.

Not a chest rig but surplus german flecktarn gear holds quite variety of 7.62 mags.

Still can be had for cheap.

TMG: German Flecktarn Web gear review. Mag pouch and holster compatibility. BM59, FN49

High speed gear makes some good looking pouches.  I ordered a few but they are back ordered.

Everything is backordered across all manufacturers right now. Mini rigs are pretty much nonexistent.

I use a sks  chest rig ammo carrier. The carrier is similar to Rhodesian chest carrier for the Fal mags.

How do you get M14 mags in the narrow pockets?

They fit right in no problem at all. This is the seven pocket chest rig.

UW Gear Inc. is the way to go. Caliber specific rigs and made right here in the USA. Email him for camo patterns

Hsgi tacos here...belt, plate carrier and chest rig all have tacos so I can run .308 or .223 without having to have dedicated rigs for each.

Haley Strategic makes a heavy D3CR. 4 rifle mags, 2 pistol mags, some other small stowage. Just like with the OSOE, get the padded harness.
ETA:
HSGI stuff will take -forever- to get to you even if you order it directly from them. In fact, if you can't find somebody with what you're looking for in stock, you're about as well off ordering it and waiting from a vendor as you would be ordering it from HSGI.

So I canceled my order from the third party and ordered straight from High Ground.  They we’re super nice and shipped they pouches out in 2 days.  I really like them.  They seem really well made.
