Hi ,I own a DCM ,CMP M1 Garand .
It is in like new condition, shooting wise . I think it was a parade rifle as its hardly been shot ,but the stock is highly polished !

My Question  is how tall is the front sight supposed to be to get a "9" up 100yd zero  on the rear sight ?
My rifle requires 14 up for a 100 yd zero .

Now, I know there is no "right" height because I know that long range target shooters will reduce it to a tiny nub .

I'm wondering if they were all high when new ?

Normal. ESP  at 100yd mil target with 6 hold.

Just keep zeros on piece of paper in butt.
