I just bought a M1 carbine with 2 serial numbers one below the rear sight add between rear sight and bolt.
The carbine is a Winchester w IBM barrel.

Any info guys and gals?

Typical procedure when the new adjustable rear sight obscured the original serial number.  The armorer would then stamp the SN in front of the rear sight.
