I’ve looked at hopco a few times and are OOS.

Any other options?

Not a fan of the ultimak. Will check out the badace option.

Anyone have a badace mount? Like it?

If we’re shifting to considering forward rail mounts over the Hopco rear sight replacement mount for micro-RDSs, the Ultimak mount beats the Amega mount because it sits lower and is slightly lighter in weight.

Still, GarandThumb’s YT vid on the effectiveness of upgrading to Hopco’s M1 mount + micro-RDS makes me want to try one on my 16” Shuff’s Mini-G.

I've got an Amega Ranges scout mount on one of mine.  QD rings make the LER scope easy to remove if/when I feel the need to use the iron sights.

I don't care for the idea of removing the rear sight to install an optic.

Archived thread: Amega vs. Ultimak

I had a Burris Scout scope mounted on the Amega on my Tanker.  The Amega was a DIY installation.  I had to use a lace-on riser and a chin weld to see the reticle.  Sold it, bought an Ultimak for the lower rail height.  Just haven't gotten around to having it installed yet (minor gunsmithing needed to clear the op rod).
