Ideally such Mag pouches would be a single MOLLE unit containing 2 (two) FAL/M-14 mags and with a full flap and fastex buckle closure.  Bonus points if auxiliary but optionally "silenced" velcro closure present--or something else that makes sense.

Should be of at least 500D nylon, preferably 1000D.  IR properties of the fabric/pouches should NOT vary from USGI standards.

By "Desert Camo" I mean something that will either match or work very well with typical USGI "Desert" camo pattern.

Link to USGI "Desert Camo" HERE "Desert Camo" is an admixture of Dk Brown, Khaki, and Tan colors.

If all else fails, I may buy some UCP pouches HERE, dye them a "little bit" with Rit Taupe dye, and "daub" the darker camo areas with appropriate paint.

Foreign-made items, presumably made in non-NATO countries, with indifferent quality control and "questionable" IR characteristics are not desired.

I understand this is an uncommon and difficult request.  OTOH, other users may benefit from responses.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

raf,
I’ve used these for years for my 7.62 mags.
AR-10, FAL, and HK91’s.
25 rounders fit very well, and they work well with 20’s and the ’ol putting xtra stuff in the bottom trick.
They are apparently 3 x what I paid years back (what ain’t?) but I quick googled, so maybe you can hunt around and still find them on the cheap.
They make them in woodland also. The woodland ones are sturdier material.
They are also very good for large capacity pistol/SMG mags, IFAK, just about anything.

I've bought these before - note the ebay description cites "10 rd" capacity seems to be an ebay paranoia thing

Yeah I'd check out ebay for the newer 7.62 stuff, in tan or coyote brown.  Several mfg's made them not too long ago, right before MC was all the rage.  "Historical Military Sales" has some old tan pouches for 19 bucks.

@nvcdl  Will this pouch accommodate 2 (two) M1A/FAL mags?

I don't have an M1A currently but the pouch holds two FAL or AR-10 mags.

It was made for the SR25 series in 7.62, so yeah it will hold 2 USGI steel or 2 Magpul 20-rdrs.

Well, after some digging, I found some excellent BAE/Eclipse 7.62 NATO mag pouches (in now-unobtainable Khaki) as well as some of the suggested SR-25 Khaki mag pouches.  Thanks, all, for kind and valuable suggestions!  Your suggestions prompted my search and saved me some $.  Much obliged!

SR-25 pouches have a "Curtain" between the mags, so no bungee cord "silencer" required.   I like neither bungee cord nor flat elastic but understand that user-replaceable elastic items can be unavoidable in some instances.

FWIW, I really do need to inventory my gear.  Relying on memory alone is insufficient for items bought long ago.

I'll need a LOT of area to lay out all the stuff.
