Bidding on a Leupold Mk4 right now.. thinking about switching back to the PSA barrel since the skinnier diameter is hidden by the handguard, and it's like 15oz roughly lighter than the rainier added an adjustable stock made by spitewerx, a guy who is just getting started with his own business making them

Over the last several months @CDTotty and I have been trying to complete our BR builds, you can see his progress in post #18 on page 37, I do not have any pictures of mine yet. The biggest hold up for both of us has been the gas block, trying to find one has been impossible, let alone two. Due to this I have decided to make my own. Unfortunately, I only have these pictures and other KAC gas blocks to reference for designing my own. If anyone has a real one they are willing to lend me, shoot me a pm, hopefully we can work something out. Anyway, I had two functional prototypes made, I have one and @CDTotty has one. They are made from 4140 steel with a black nitride finish, they also have the KAC shoulder to gas port length so they will only work with SR-25 pattern barrels. If there is enough interest for me to have more made I am willing to coordinate a large order. Lastly, since I do not wish to upset KAC, I have tried to make mine different from the originals by adding flats where you can use taper pins, 10-32 set screw holes spaced .400" apart, and using a black nitride finish instead of black oxide. All subtle differences so they look like they belong but shouldn't be confused for real KAC products. Reference rifles w/ gas blocks:   Reproduction gas block

Attached File It didn't take long to get it out of the door. I haven't had a chance to dig through all the stuff yet but I will. This was the fastest turnaround I've had for a stamp to come back. A total of 6 days. It normally takes mine months du to my name and a shit load of security clearances. I hope you enjoy the pics. Daniel |

Idk I guess I'm going to use it for like a mk11 Mod 1 ish build. URX is unobtanium. I've got the MGL110, Double pic gas block, FH, and suppressor. Just need a barrel and receiver set. But this is somewhat a better alternative than converting a MWS and having to shave the pic rail to fit the gas block cause currently it wont fit. Centurion rail looks excellent

It looks like 5-25 at glance but zooming in maybe it is a 3-18. I agree the ARD is making it look like a 50mm and longer. It won’t matter for me since at this point I’m just going for aesthetics if centurion doesn’t make urx IIs. But i plan to put a 5-25 on it. I have seen a marine corps one with the atacr 5-25. Maybe i should do that instead but definitely more money. |
