Since rusty USGI surplus carbine mags have gone higher in price than my Scottish soul can abide I'm wondering if the KCI magazines are decent mags fit for range use or not.

Has anyone tried them? Good to go or trash?

I use them for range mags, never let me down and has a bolt hold open feature.

Decent. Also try Keep Shooting. Their mags seem nice. I've been testing them out and so far so good

Keep Shooting mags are equal to GI.    KCI mags are adequate and functional, but their durability is questionable.

I will be buying more Keep Shooting mags, and will not be buying any more KCI mags.

Anyone know who makes the Keep Shooting magazines?

I have KCI and keep Shooting both, honestly can't tell the difference in them.  Both have worked perfectly for me.

If you're close to Helena PM me and you can try them out.

I've never had an issue with KCI 15rd mags, the 30rd mags are more hit or miss but generally reliable, but that also applies to USGI 30rd mags.

I only get 15s because my grandfather said the same thing about using 30's in Korea.
