Anyone have one? And what are your thoughts? Worth the purchase?

Also, anyone know if these were widely used in any military or law enforcement applications?

I have the same question about individual experience with quality/low profile, and how it compares with the Surefire MP5 railed handguard.

I already know they were used by some SOF units.

I didn’t think a used one was worth $1000-1200 when they were scarce; but, I jumped on one when KAC reissued them. IMHO it’s the best MP5 red dot mount out there.

If you want one or have any thoughts of wanting one now is the time to buy before this run is sold out. The run earlier this year sold out and we don't know when they will do more runs in the future(unless they have announced it will be a normal production). The things got crazy expensive before they made them again.

Anyway I have one on my tsc machine mp5n(hk94 conversion) and love it. Haven't used the red dot mount but have both. Another one is going on my mp5f when I get it back.

Can't speak for the surefire as I don't have a lot of experience with it. The kac rail was more iconic to me.

You can get them at Operation Parts for ~$350. They definitely look cool.

He can fill you in on them. I think they look awesome on a MP5

It’s not worth the coin if you’re already running your preferred optic mount. Get the SF rail instead if you can find one under $180ish.

Unless you’re into the whole #KACmasterrace.

Meh, there are cheaper and lighter options that are just as good or better unless you want that optic mount. Get an M-lok handguard and a couple of rail adapters.

I really like mine

I however have tried no other railed handguards for a MP5 though

Just wanted something to hold a PEQ solidly on the mount

Works great and doesn't seem to have any POI drift. Really solid rail for this option

The good thing about the MP5 RAS is if you don't like it, sell it for more than you paid for it a year later. They were selling for $100 over retail on the EE when dealers still had them in stock earlier this year.

It's a solid rail, and then the two options of a pic mount or a 30mm Aimpoint mount make it even more appealing.
