I have an older 16” chrome lined barrel with an 13x1LH aac 51T flash hider.
Turns out surefire was the muzzle device I should’ve bought ten years ago. Any way to get one now? Update 01Apr24: this is not an April fools joke: call surefire. They have them 714.545.9444 |

OST.
I may have a new one in the package in one of my parts box. No promises - I know it’s a 13x metric, just not sure which one. |

Good luck. They pop up on gunbroker and here on the EE every once in a while.
Surefire would make them in really small batches and those really small batches would last them a long time, and when they’d eventually sell out it would take them ages to make another really small batch. Now that they’re discontinued it’s going to be even harder than it was when they were still in production. |

Just be aware it's going to be expensive.
I had one that I sold about 6 months ago and it went for 300 plus! |

Is there a 51T hub mount?
If so the best option may be to get one of the hub compatible cans from spectercat. Back when I had an original metric barrel my plan was to just cut it down and pin/weld a modern adapter. |

A really good alternative worthy of consideration would be having adco do the thread repair service and change your threads to half by 28.
Given the price and availability of 13x1 left hand muzzle devices versus the price and availability of half by 28 muzzle devices you might actually come out ahead or at least break even and have more options. |

When I spoke to them about it they said they had done it before IIRC.

Ive considered that option but i don't want to mess with this barrel since you can’t get chrome lined ones anymore.

I went through all my parts bins, top to bottom, with no luck. It sucks because I can picture where it used to be, but I reorganized last year and must have set it aside somewhere.
I will eventually find it, probably the day after you decide to re-thread your barrel. |

Maybe I'll bump this thread occasionally and see if anyone out there has one. Does surefire even make them anymore? They're totally out of production, right? |

Bump (is this allowed?) still looking for one.
