Just an update, of no update! My stuff is still in storage at this point. Looking at 2-3 weeks before I get un-packed and set up. On all these Chinese mounts n so forth. I am not going to pay for outrageous domestic stuff, so I am going to continue to buy, test, and modify as required, Chinese kit. I like having the functionality of a dove tail mount, across helmet and rail platforms. Yes, they can be a crap shoot, yes they may require some modification on your part. I accept those terms; you may not. Is FTS a requirement? For me, yeah I want it, both for magnifier and thermal. But that is not to say you need it. What I really like is having a dovetail shoe which allows me to pouch it up and hand scan, or easily weapons/helmet-mount it. The FTS just allows you to quickly switch up to other aiming modes, especially at closer ranges. Or you can just remove it, if "quickly" isn't an issue. There are LOTS of mounting choices here. The SOTAC stuff is "A" way of doing things. As in anything, there are up-sides, and down-sides. On another note, I'm having fun hand-scanning with this thing. It's a real game-changer, walking around with this thing at night. My advice would be for a guy to get a good -14 and one of these before dropping coin on binos. Until we have good civvie fusion, I think this is the way to go. |

The -14 technically has better specs than the filmless WP RNVGs, so I’m interested to see how going back to a single tube, but with thermal available, does compared to duals. |

I just did it on my RH25 and there was no updates available. That might be legit, but the link is shopify and not iray. It also looks like it might be just for the Pfalcon 640. I'd go the safe route and just check for an update by connecting your phone to the device. |

It's legit, it's the link that is posted on the Cold Harbour Supply RH25/PFN640+ website for the newest firmware update. I installed this on my PFN640+, the device works fine! Unfortunately it didn't work through the phone app even though I followed the instructions. I had to use the Infiray GUI software that was included in one of the previous firmware update releases. |

It does look sketchy if you didn't know where I found it. I just spent an hour trying to connect my iphone to my RH25 - no luck. I'm gonna give it a rest. The unit is working for what I use it for, no sense in screwing it up. |

Phone sees the wifi signal. The password self loaded, 123456789, I connected to it. But the app still does not see the unit. This kind of stuff always frustrates me, so I really do thank you for the suggestion.

Yeah, been playing with it a bit and it's growing on me. This thing is cool and I think I'm going to keep it. A mode lock feature would be great though. I can already tell that could be a bit annoying. I didn't previously realize how small these things are. I used to have a Super Yoter C and that thing was like putting an aircraft carrier in front of your scope. I know the performance of this isn't going to match the SYC, but the size trade off is worth it IMO. This thing is tiny. Really impressive capabilities for the size. |

Okay, loving this thing. Have encountered one problem though. I can connect to the wifi, but it says "No internet Connection". Anyone delt with this? Also, I was skeptical of the stand alone mode because of the 1X. This thing looks like it will be way more useable than I thought it would be as a scope. |

Thanks to the SBR and some Chinese fellars making parts KAC can’t be bothered to produce; I have predator vision now. Attached File I was worried the B/W with red hot would mess with my brain due to the -14 being a decade old OMNI7, but I guess I’m so right eye dominant I just focus on the NV and let red highlights pop into my head. Going to be traveling for work next week and should have a chance to hike around in some very low light areas to see if I really like it. Thanks again to @javemtr for the SBR |

I picked up a RH25 and got it in last week. I’m running an opscore fast SF helmet, opscore ear pro, Wilcox mount with KAC bridge with pvs14 on left & RH25 on right. I bought the ADM dovetail & weapon mount with the RH25 purchase. Thermal is pretty amazing. I don’t know why the Iray app doesn’t recognize or have the RH25 as a product selection. I was a to do the update thx to this thread. Still trying to figure it out. Will be dialing in the weapons mount this weekend to a SR15 in front of a Night force 1-8x Atacr. |

I downloaded the iRay app, turned the wifi on in the PFN640 menu, and successfully connected my iPhone using 123456789 as the password….and nothing. I even turned cellular off, as the Steiner app needs that to view on the phone, but it never let me step through the upgrade process, access files on the device, or use the viewfinder setting in the app. I looked through the device lists and didn’t see any of the RH/MH products. What am I doing wrong ?  This is the correct app, yes? Attached File |

It appears there are no pending updates, but being able to pull media and use it as a view finder would be cool. Could the fact that it’s a PFN640 have an impact? |

Yes, I'm using the SBR rail, I couldn't remember the name last night. Sits a little high for the ACOG on Larue mount, but works fine through the scope. The catch to release the flip to side is right at the back, so it's pretty tight with the ACOG base. Most other scopes will be fine since there is more room there. I'm about to move it to another rifle, but at only $70 each I could see having these on a number of rifles. Ha, I had not noticed until these pictures that it has a fake Wilcox logo on it. I also had the same question, after I had read the real wilcox mag FTS and Skeetir one have a different footprint. I snagged one of the SOTACs in FDE, I'll let yall know how it works with the HRF once everything gets here. |

Got mine zeroed in front of my 1-6 yesterday. Slapping small steel gongs at 200 was easy once I figured out what I was shooting at (zeroed in the middle of the day, everything is hot). Couldn’t see the steel at 300. Should be able to get out and spill some blood with it this coming weekend. |

Thanks to the folks showing off their setups utilizing the SBR. From the feedback I've received, the Sotac mounts have been fairly consistent. Regardless whether it's the SkeetIR or magnifier version, the SBR should interface correctly with all of them. The same goes for the KVC/RQE dovetail bridge. |

My OSS shoes (real or fake) on both of my PVS-14s work, but the real pictail gets stuck in the RQE knockoff. Dovetail will go IN, but won't come OUT. It was good and STUCK. I had to jimmy the fake RQE open with a tool to release my RH optic. Years ago, when the article on page 1 first came out, I made some of my own "picrail" kind of things that worked in various bridges as well as my real Wilcox G24 and Wilcox flip mounts. (I think I might have posted 3D renderings of a proto a dozen pages back in this thread.) THAT one doesn't get stuck. Not sure if the real RQE has the same problem as the fake one. Just a heads up on fitment for anyone thinking about buying the fake bridge. |

I never saw the coon with my -14 and only ‘saw’ the mouse once I tuned on my helmet IR light and got a glint from its eyes. Attached File ETA: both are from SOTAC. Search with those description words and find the matching pics. |

Well, the reality is that you still need an Obverse Shoe Set (OSS) on your PVS-14 to get them perfectly aligned. If you have Noisefighters bridge with the standard PVS-14 arm and their dovetail adapter, it will align as well. But that's because Noisefighters built an offset into their dovetail adapter from the start. |

In this case, farther equals worse. With all three adapters, you still need the Obverse Shoe Set to achieve proper alignment with a PVS-14. When you look at the picture from my website that WTFShane posted above, you can see that I am using the OSS on my PVS-14 type device as well. I've been messing with my own design of the OSS for a while now, but the engineering is very annoying due to the many different PVS-14 type housings available. |

For the dudes never helmet mounting, this is an interesting option. Just a 3d printed part that allows you to mount the RH25 to an Eotech FTS. (please don't ban me for link, I have no affiliation with the manufacturer.) |

NETD is a crazy good 15mK in the RH 25V2 (≤18mK in the RL25V2). Battery life better. USB-C instead of that kludgey 9-pin Fisher cable. Most importantly to me, there’s cleaned up menus with actual English words instead of mystery icons. Navigating through submenus is a breeze now. |

Phew. Of course this happens right when I spend money on the V1. Fortunately, nothing jumps out as "I must have that" over the V1. Does look like some nice upgrades though. |
