I ordered this by mistake when I ordered the ones for my new cylinder for my Pietta 1858,

I guess I had too many tabs open and was not paying attention and instead of returning them I just ordered one of these...

Sure is purty.

I just ordered my first bp revolver. I figure the one I ordered will be the only one I get...maybe....

Nice!  That IS a good looking pistol.  Congrats!

I just placed an order for some Tandemkross green springs and a couple of Wingman mag extenders for my Ruger SR22 to try out.

I don't know, they kind of grown on you.

I like the slower pace shooting with them sometimes.

Not the first time I have heard that.

Ordered the pistol 2nd day air, no progress on UPS's tracking.

Shows still in Jackson MS.

Came in!!

First impressions:

It's smaller than I thought.
GREAT trigger.
Quality is noticeably better than my Pietta, Blue on the barrel is much nicer than the bluing of the Remington. I can't find anything wrong with the fitment of the parts.
Action is smooth.
Lockup is tight and spot on.
Rifling is top notch.
I like how they put the "blackpowder" warning on the underside of the barrel, nice not to have it on the side.
Only thing that I see wrong is there are a few scuffs on the brass backstrap but as soon as I'll take it apart i'll polish it up.
The case hardening did not really show up in the pics as nice as it really is.
I haven't even cleaned it yet.

I REALLY like it so far.

Oh did I mention its tiny?

I took a buddy to the range this past weekend and introduced him to my Ruger Old Army and my Uberti 1858 .36 revolver. He likes the smoke clouds.

Here are my 3.  Haven't shot any of them and probably won't.  Not real desire to when I have so much other stuff.  The pistols were inherited from a friend who passed and are Colt second gens from what I recall.  Rifle is a Japanese repro that cost me $35 at a gun show.

Nice.

My new Pocket police is a really pretty gun, almost too pretty to shoot.

I thought that..  about 10 years ago.

Now I have 14 BP revolvers, 4 BP pistols, 3 BP rifles and a blunderbuss replica.

And I am still looking for more revolvers, if I can find a replica I do not already have.

Enjoy the new pistol, Klee.
A .45 Colt cylinder for my Pietta 1858 Remington is on my wish-list for my birthday.

Nice! Authentic Colts are rare.

I'd have to shoot them anyway.

Your rifle looks like my .45 Ultra-Hi by Miroku.
I de-horned the shoulder jabbing upper point on the butt plate.

Having a lot of balls is easy.
Having a lot of BP and percussion caps would be meaningful.

Check for burrs on the inside and a short arbor. Uberti is known for this.

That's probably it, .45 by Miroku sounds right.  I just think it looks great on the wall.

The Colts are cool and have more sentimental value than anything.

I fell into the same trap about 20 years ago with my dad.
I'm feeling I need a LeMat and 20ga Howdah to round out the collection
