If the barrel is good it is definitely worth the money. Husqvarna m96's were made during the 40's for civilian shooter's that were also reservists. They were not used in the military and much newer than other M96 rifles.

That's about right for a retail sale on them if they are in very good to excellent condition. If you look around online you can sometimes find one in the $400 ish range , again depending on condition.
I will say they are one of the nicest mauser actions out there, besides a few south american gems, and the round is really nice shooter. I've had a number of them over the years and kick myself for not picking up a m41b sniper setup from Samco years ago. |

My buddy, and fellow member, ran over and looked at it today. Said the bore was nice and it looked like a clean gun. I'll be calling them tomorrow to get it.

If it's one of the long m96s that husqvarna made in the 40s it's worth 500 easy. They usually are in fine shape as well, as they weren't used much.
Now the m38 husqvarna it just depends on the year on those. 41 and 42 are most common. 43 and 44, are uncommon and big $ |

Now I'm on the hunt for ammo. Looks like PPU 139gr SP is pretty good stuff. I am having a hard time finding it locally. Lots of federal premium 140gr SP locally. 30$/box...

Anyone have any good leads on a bayonet? I started looking around and ebay has a few. I started looking up unit ID's on their scabbards and I ran across the VO stamp. Which is a bicycle dispatch unit. Thought that was pretty cool!

It is here. Looks to be a cai import. Rifling is in awesome shape. Sharp and clean bore. It's missing a front sight hood and muzzle thread cap but I will get those ordered. |

I don't believe they ever had thread caps. They were issued bare and only used with the blank firing adapters.
If you reload, buy some blanks from jg sales, pull the wood projectiles, and use new load data. Cheap primed brass. |

Swede milsurp ammo is non corrosive.
Reloading is the key to awesome accuracy in these rifles. |

So I ordered a bunch of Clips off of eBay and they all have different stamps on them. Some have a k, a, b, and then I believe 707. I tried looking up quit manufacturers for the swedes and I could not find any information. Does anybody know how to decipher where each individual clip was made? Or what that single letter/number designation means?
