Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How do you find out if a air gun is ok to shoot on your property

I live in Burnet county in Tx out side the city limits of Burnet. I have asked 3 different Sheriff officers and have gotten 1 yes 1 no and one he thinks its fine.

So who do I contact to find out if Air rifles are ok to shoot at my  home its on 1 acre if that matters in a subdivision with no HOA rules and no deed restrictions.

pull the county and municipal ordinances up on google.

It's Texas man.  If the gun is not considered a firearm, I can't see why you can't shoot it as long as the pellets don't leave your property.

Most will tell you no if asked.  Liability issues and it is easier to say no than to say yes.  One less letter.
