I went to order some 55gr sp with cannelure from AorA and see that had 60gr sp with cannelure.
I've never seen them in person. They are cheaper than the 55gr version. Any reason to buy those and deviate from 55s? AR platform only |

I use those a lot and they also have a little longer bearing surface. I believe them to be a tad more accurate than the 55 grain. I would get them with out cannelure if you want an accuracy load they make both.. I use 24 grains of H 322 and its 1/4 moa load.

Cheaper? I would try them. Just not order more than 100 until I know their accuracy.
For me, 5 shot groups of .75 at 100 yds is the norm for Hornady 55 gr SP's. |

I like the 55gr soft point boat tail, the BT makes it easier to seat for me, so I'd go that way. I don't see a 60gr boat tail soft point on AoA's site.
