Also, we have two new models. M210, which is a multi-curve L210 available in full SAPI sizing as well as two sizes out of the true swimmer cut sizing (small, large) and the D220 which was a plate originally built to compete in a DEA contract. We might have had something to do with the M210

Eyeing those M210s now...

I might have bought a pair of L210 Small for family. (Didn't even know there was a Small L210.)

Be nice to a box going to Alaska, please.

True small swimmers cut? Finally a plate to fit my Crye 2.0 small swimmer. This is super tempting. Estimated lead time?

The M210 are very tempting but I'm curious to hear more about the D220.

Wait holy shit they actually made a multicurved version of the L210 that's $350 a pair in shooters cut large?

Edit:
And it's actually slightly LIGHTER than the L210 (5.1 pounds!) and officially rated for M855A1!

Guys, this is it. This is the only plate anyone is going to buy ever again. There's legitimately no reason to buy steel or chinese plates anymore. They made an affordable lightweight multicurved Level III+ plate.

Edit again:
Wait hold on, Hesco's own website doesn't even mention the M210 and a Google search doesn't bring anything up. That's kind of fishy, what's the story here?

Edit yet again:
Nevermind, it's $350 per plate, not $350 a pair. Disregard the excitement, that's not particularly extraordinary. I mean, I'm sure it's a good middle ground for people, but it's not really a budget plate in the same sense I initially thought where it would basically kill the market for chinese plates.

I'm still crossing my fingers for the day someone releases a US-made, multicurve, 5.5-ish pound, 1 inch thick, rated just for M193 and M855, $300/pair plate that actually kills the market for chinese plates.

About to order.

@Patriot-man, what cut of the U210 do you recommend for the Crye JPC 2.0 in Large? I was planning on Large SAPI. Thanks!

Chinese wages are around $3/hr. American armor industry are around $12 give or take.... very hard for this to happen while paying American wages. Light = Light material. Light material to stop those rounds will cost more.

The standard JPC 2.0 is sized for SAPI cut plates, so it should be SAPI Large.  My SAPI Small U210s fit perfectly in my Small JPC 2.0.

Right I'm not suggesting any US company will make a plate that's actually $100. But they could make one close enough to $100 that the rational decision becomes "If I'm already willing to spend $100 on a plate, I might as well boost that to $150 and make it multicurved made in the US".

The M210 shows that they obviously must have figured out a way to bring down the cost of the multicurve process. And the L210 proves they can make plates that cheap. If they can figure out how to make an L210 multicurved with the tradeoff of being thicker at the same price, that's the plate to end all plates.
