Hey guys I have a chance to buy a p7 m8 with 2 mags, box and manual in bag. I believe it’s an early model because of black, green lined paper box. What should I be expecting to pay for a clean version with these extras?

Looking closer it appears to be an 81 model

1K to 2K. Anything lower is a steal. Anything higher is not worth it, IMHO.

So 1500 is fairly in range then?

That is a great price for an M8.   Just make sure it's an M8 and not a "PSP".

Ok stupid question what’s the difference in the 2? This one just says P7 on the grips and has an 8 round mag.

PSP will have the mag release at the heal of the grip, a smaller trigger guard, and no heat shield above the trigger.

The M8 will have the mag release behind the trigger guard like a 1911, a larger trigger guard, and a plastic heat shield above the trigger.

I like to looks of the smaller PSP trigger guard but there's no denying the improved tacticalness of the M8.

Alright so this one is a PSP then. Are they not near as valuable?

If it's a real PSP and marked as such, it's worth a lot. If it's a basic P7 with heel release, they go for $1k+. Mags and box increase that price. If it has the heel release there's a good chance it's an imported former police gun.

The PSP (correction: plain old P7) is barely a $1k gun, whereas the M8 is more. Lots of PSP (correction: plain ‘ol P7) trade-ins sold for around $700 several years ago. Not a ton of interest.

The M8 has USP style mag release behind the trigger.

Just to clarify, what many people call the "PSP" is actually just a plain old P7.

PSP's were actually an early version with only 239 made.

The non-M8/M10/M13/M7/K3's that aren't these 239 PSP's are just P7's. The imported police guns with heel mag releases are just P7's, NOT PSP's.

I like 'em.  In fact I think they look better with the smaller trigger guard.  I couldn't comment on the price though...

I have one and love it. I got mine during one of the import crazes.

If you like the P7 and want to get one, the regular P7 is the cheapest way to get into the game.

@Remington92

I’m kind of surprised  at the low prices mentioned.

I look at prices on these from time to time between the psp and the m8 and would say $1800-2k is cheap.

For one in box with mags and excellent shape it will sell for over $2k.

Heck even the magazines are getting to be crazy expensive.

Op just search Archived EE listings for PSP or completed listings on gunbroker and you’ll see some crazy prices that sold. Try and find one similar to what you’re looking at.

Also go here for a lot of good info on different variants.

Don’t overpay but just my 2 cents at finding what actually sold.
