Got a 300 in jail and am wondering if the HB Ti stuff is good to go.

Particularly the Ti Direct Thread Mounts and Ti End-Caps.

Man I wish they’d make those for the Charlie (36M/Saker) cans too.

Is there any problem running Titanium Direct Thread mounts? Like heat or dissimilar metals or anything I should know about?

Any more info/ETA on your Ti EndCaps?

I haven’t seen any problems with titanium direct thread mounts in either steel or titanium tubes but I always use a little anti seize on both the mount and muzzle threads.

Rex’s direct thread mount in heat treated 17-4 is a real sleeper and a bargain.  It’s only about 0.1 ounce heavier in a 1/2-28 version (smaller hole, more metal) than a titanium EA mount in 5/8-24 (bigger hole, less metal).  1.4 ounces versus 1.3 on a cheap kitchen scale.  Rex does a nice job of thinning out the metal where it isn’t needed, providing wrench flats, and even sets the can back about an eight inch (shoulder starts recessed into the mount).

The EA mount is black and has spanner notches, so if you always bring your silencer’s spanner or don’t have a wrench that could matter.
