Scored a 10.4 chopped MR556 barrel recently to go with a surplus 416 rail I had laying around. Ordered everything else I need, only thing left is a stripped upper.
If anyone has any leads on a mr556, 416 , or aftermarket stripped upper they’d be willing to share, I’d greatly appreciate it |

Added a Multicam-ish rattle can job to my 14.1" MR556. Colors were closest matches I already had in my garage spray paint collection, I used Acid Tactical stencils I bought for $15 bucks off amazon, and roughly followed this tutorial online: https://primaryandsecondary.com/forum/index.php?threads/how-to-paint-your-rifle-multicam-ish.2921/

I built this one off a complete demilled HK416 10" kit and a laser engraved Brownells lower.
Personally I always preferred the look of the original black HK416 with the older stock, pic rail, TD grip, and diopter sights before HK started upgrading/changing everything. For me since this is a bit more of a HK collector piece vs. a high volume shooter for me I decided to go with an original style build. However, I do shoot it and did get it set up with one of my registered M16 sears so that it can have full three position functionality again. While its not an homage to the latest and greatest gen 416, I am pretty happy how close this turned out to the look of the original gun.

I used Vegas Metal Finishing, was fairly cheap and quick turn around. Color matched my example well too. Example of mine is a couple of posts up.

Hoping to add a 416 clone to the collection so I can make use of these rails.
Top to bottom: AOR1 anodized rail, was told it was done by Wilcox Remington defense rail OGA rail, regular 416 quad rail with the picatinny milled off to save weight, skateboard tape added, probably my favorite 416 rail so far. I’ve used the geissele, DD, Remington, and stock quad  Attached File |

Dont kill me not really a HK guy when it comes to rifles but looking for a value..what are the HK polymer MR556 mags going for these day? Looks like they are discontinued-saw a crazy gunbroker listing for two for 349 but it had no bids. Whats a true value- these are new in package. Thanks!!
