They’re horrible. Built 2 in 6 weeks. 20” I later cut to 18” and a 12” pistol. Give up about 300fps with the pistol, but the math says still about 1000’ lbs of energy at 300m. The possibilities are fantastic as an Antelope gun.

They are awful, I have two 16”, one 18”, one 20” and a Cz 527 American 24” bolt action. I also bought a 12” PSA pistol kit a couple months ago. Very addictive cartridge. My Son in Law has a 22” and I want to get them all out and do some chronograph comparisons.

Love my 12.5” Grendel. Love my 18” too, but the 12.5” shoots as well and has most of the same expansion range with Fusions and SSTs while being considerably handier. They’re a pretty neat little SBR cartridge.

An easy hole to fall in to.
When PSA started with 6.5g I picked up their 12" nitride upper last year for shooting Wolf steel as a replacement for 5.45x39 when my 7N6 runs out. Liked it so much I just picked up a BCA 20" upper, couldn't resist a complete upper for $240. Only shot Hornady Black thru it but groups well. it's a pretty versatile caliber. |
