Quick summary of my review of the new Gemtech Integra 15-22 upper:

Pros:
-it's quiet (see db numbers in video)
-fits on to any M&P15-22
-many "bulk" 22LR loads remain subsonic
-reliability with various load

Cons:
-can't be ordered as a complete rifle (currently)
-15-22 action isn't the quietest

Thanks for the review. Put my Spectre on my son’s stock 15-22 this weekend with similar good results, but also noticed action noise. Still fun and relatively quiet.

That’s DA mask quiet. That’s impressive.

Thanks.  In the realm of 22 semi auto, what action would be quieter?  Once again, semi auto.

Did S&W send you the upper for free or pay you to make/promote this video?

I’ve been bugging our S&W rep to do these since I built my own a few years ago. From what I’ve seen, they’re pretty much as shown in the video. My only real bitch about these is the OAL of the barrel with stack is right about 17.5” or so. The one I built for myself is 16.25” OAL and runs great. I just don’t see the reason they felt the need for the extra 1” of bbl length but with that said, if I was looking, this wouldn’t be a deal breaker.

Any word on whether they're gonna resurrect the 5.56 Integra? It was such an innovative upper, and a few tweaks could make it even better.

Well will have to disagree with you on 1 statement.

Cons
-15-22 action isnt the quietest

From my experience the 15-22 is the quietest semi auto host I have came across.  Of course cant compare it to any manually operated guns.

Great video glad to see you post here. Also glad to see a new rimfire product especially from a company I thought was dead.

Went to look at Thompson Machine and there integeral 15-22 barrel and they do not list it on the site. I am sure they have them just dont know the price. I think that's the only competition the integra has other than small shops.

Really just comparing it to a bolt gun with that statement.   Probably should have clarified....

Is this basically the Mist made to fit the 15-22?

I like it. Just would've wished the suppressor diameter was bigger. Seems it could've easily edged out even less db and it just looks goofy being how long and thin it is.

Probably to make it the same oal as a 16in 5.56 gun.

I'm guessing for additional volume for the "can" portion of the upper

Maybe but they could have shortened the barrel and kept the same can length. Also could have increased the diameter to get more volume.

Why were you wearing hearing protection shooting a suppressed .22lr outside, no other shooters around and on what looks to be a warm day judging by your outfit?   Did S&W send it to you to make a review with the caveat that you had to wear hearing protection?  Only calling you out because I am one of the people who got burnt by Remington and do not have a lot of confidence in S&W for their GT brand.
