I hit search and found nothing. I looked through a few threads and nothing. There used to be a chart on here years ago that showed Colt barrel gas port sizes for the various lengths. I have a 16 inch barrel that might be a good candidate for shortening to 10.3 or 11.5

You can send it to D. Wilson for them to cut it and they will consult you on enlarging it or not. I think they charge ten bucks for that now.

Barrels are cheap. Just buy one at length you desire.

Thanks for the help. I know barrels are cheap but I have this one and have no need for a heavy 16 inch. I am told this is a good barrel so I may try and sell it.
