My last “free” form was just approved about half an hour ago. I submitted it 2/4. I submitted a second one also on 2/4, cover letters and one set of fingerprints mailed in the same envelope. The other one was approved 3/23. There is no rhyme or reason to it at all.

have a couple paid for F1's already figured fuck it might as well get one on their dime this time. Submitted it yesterday a few hours before the cut off, mailed the prints today. only photo i submitted was of myself, nothing of the receiver. Dont really give a fuck either way.

You have to send a passport style picture of yourself, but pictures of the gun are optional. I sent pictures of the engravings/serial number of the 3 I did. Not because it was required, but because I figured it certainly couldn't hurt and might speed things up. Plus I found it hilarious to send them pictures of my "let's go Brandon" (fuck joe biden) lower. That alone made it worth it. I now have a registered, 11.5" barreled AR, with suppressor next to my bed that has safety selector markings that say fuck joe biden. That shit never gets old. |

Should I be concerned that my fingerprints have been delayed by the usps? My forms were filed prior to cut off, but the fingerprints have a delayed delivery for some reason.

My first Form 1 attempt w/ paper prints was disapproved on May 12th because my pic did not include a close enough facial shot. 107 days wasted on that one.
2nd form went out May 16th after getting a passport photo and e-prints done. Loaded the 1st disapproval as an e-document. Hoping this one isn't strike two. |

My last Form 1 submitted on 3/18 was just approved so I’m done.
We’ll see what happens in the courts now. |

I doubt ‘The Man’ is working weekends, so as of now I’m sitting at FOUR months for the brace/freebie/amnesty/dontshootmydog form 1.

Don’t know if the extras they brought in for the brace forms also work weekends, but can’t say they don’t. |

I submitted one on 5/7/23 and three more on 5/8/23
One of the 5/8 for approved 5/23 and nothing since then. Anybody heard of they’re stalling now there’s been and injunction? |

Do the send back the forms showing approved or do they e-mail them?

Has anyone done a bolt action under the “amnesty” filing period? I submitted 3 AR pistols and a Remington 700 based 300blk pistol that I built a couple of years ago.

|
|
With 3 temporary injunctions now I wonder if they are still processing or if they put them on hold?

I got the last of my open brace form 1s approved this morning (was submitted 2/20); they're still approving Washington state submissions at least.

|
|
Submitted on 4/20, approved this morning.

NFA wait times are proof of govt inefficiency!
I’m happy for everyone getting theirs back in weeks, but dang, I’m over four months now still showing ‘submitted’! |
|
|
|
They really drive you nuts when they approve all but one and nothing for weeks. I swear I check my email 20 times a day looking for the last one’s disposition.
At this point I don’t even care approval or denial I just want closure! |

Is there any kind of status indicator on the site to show they received the fingerprint cards? I'm asking as I can't tell if they received mine (although I have a delivery confirmation that says they did). Also, what happens if they don't receive the cards within 10 days?
Thanks in advance! |
|
|
I mailed fingerprint card with USPS Priority Mail so I could track the package.

I sent an “ask the experts” question about the brace eforms, and threw in ‘why has mine been sitting for over four months?’
I’ll report back if they answer- I’ve never had them reply before… |
|
|
Got back my last one approved of 6 total. It was the 2nd one I submitted last to be approved.
Kind of glad the wait is over and all were approved. This last had me worried as one of my measurements were obviously wrong I thought for sure it would be sent back. Even when I got the email and opened it I thought for sure it would be denied. |

I assume that if a form is disapproved for any trivial reason, that one is now screwed and has to buy a stamp and resubmit?

Agreed. No tax paid = no tax stamp.

So ‘Ask the experts’ replied to my email saying ‘don’t email us’

Last one approved today. Filed Feb 7th. That makes four completed approvals.
Not bad really, I'm over a year on two form 4 approvals as it is. . |
|
|
I submitted 3 form 1's on 4/26 and woke up to the first approval this morning. 44 days, and oddly it was the 2nd of the 3 I submitted that day.
