This is a scam. See the attached link to Subguns. This is an M16A1 listed by Jim Corby at SideArmSams. You will see the 2nd image on the Subguns Ad is identical to the image the worthless scammer used. And when I say "worthless" I mean that to the fullest extent of the word.

Thanks for posting, we gotta watch out for each other on these worthless SOB Armslist scams.

Anyone who owns that has at least 1/2 a dozen numbers of close friends / associates saved on his cell phone he would sell it to at that price or higher, so why would he need to list it on armslist ?? Answer = it is a scam

Great detective work! I rarely see them on armslist so I figured it was worth posting "just in case" someone wanted to do the leg work to see.

FYI you can use Google Images https://www.google.com/imghp
to search using the suspicious listing's picture. Right click to "copy image location" of the photo and paste that URL into Google Image search. I used to use TinEye, but Google Images is better.

Ya.. I hate posting possible scams, but if you're looking for a deal you have to do the leg work to debunk a handful of scams. I was way too paranoid to buy from a private sale, I just paid the premium

Most MGs for sale on armslist are too good to be true, especially if they are significantly under valued. Always ask to see it In person, even if you don't live anywhere near the seller, say you have a friend. A real seller will have no problem meeting you but a scammer will make excuses.

I was going to say most of the machine gun listings I thought were scams were actually legit.  But then I saw Armslist...  its a scam...
