These were my options. I went with the Aimpoint.
For me, it works better with the charging handle. Attached File |

On my old one I had a ACOG TA11 which was great.
Thinking of throwing either a EOTECH EXPS or Vortex AMG G2 on my current one. |
|
Currently have an Aimpoint CompM4s on mine but I would prefer an Elcan 1-4x on it.

Hmm Leupold made a donut of death optic. Leupold Mark4 CQ/T 1-3X14

I run a Trijicon TA44 on my personal semiauto AUG, and an EOTECH 512 on the full auto shop gun.
I like the Eotech for the hige field of view so you have situational awareness when shooting on full auto. Sven Manticore Arms |

I liked the Holosun 510c I had on mine for awhile but ended up going with a Burris RT-6. Love the 1x for heads up and the magnification for longer range.

Suffer through it because you bought an AUG to be an AUG damnit. The factory optic sucks. It's retarded. But I have learned to live with it and don't think I could put the rail back, because it's part of the package. I purchased it to have just in case they become hard to find but now I can't take it off. The Aug is whispering NO each time I look at the factory rail. I will put a red dot on top of my 1.5x optic because I will work through the pain of the 1970s optic without illumination because I purchased an AUG and not a not AUG. But if I had to do it again the 3x with a RMR makes more sense. *Not financial advice |

I prefer a T2 on mine.
I never warmed up to the TA-44C, although I like the reticle. Reminds me, I need to list it on the EE. Attached File |

I have a TA31 RCO on mine. It's like a match made in heaven, IMHO.

Quoted: I have a TA31 RCO on mine. It's like a match made in heaven, IMHO. View Quote ACOG is aesthetically pleasing on the A3, and they're still a solid optic choice despite their limitations. I got the Corvus Defensio 35-slot MLOK rail to swap onto this A3 (with the ACOG mounting interface machined into it) but I haven't swapped the rail yet. On my other AUG I've got the factory A2 Swarovski 1.5x optic and I like that very much. I'll have to see how closely the ACOG reticle BDC matches my 24" LMG barrel. Probably won't be close. |

Quoted: Steiner P4Xi 1-4x (pre price increase). Steiner with the Manticore mount adds approximately 1 pound more than the factory 3x optic that came with the rifle. But for that 1 extra pound I get all the benefits of a quality LPVO plus a built-in red dot. https://i.imgur.com/RfqX0w8.jpg View Quote That is a pretty nice set-up. |

I’m running a Meprolight RDS Pro V2 with a green bullseye reticle. I have one on each of my bullpups. I really like the optic.

Anyone know if the STG77 optics will be available again? I just like the iconic look, and don’t like the newer style optic with the rails all over it.

Lone in my opinion, but I like the PA glx 2x prism on mine. Gives magnification, fantastic eyebox, great fov, great glass, great reticle, nuclear daylight bright.

I went with an aimpoint M4S without the spacer mounted very far aft and like it a lot. Seems natural. I may try it with a CompC3-2X I have as well. But the M4S in low aft position is very nice. Runner up was the 552 eothingie |

Leupold 1.5-4X20 is the finest, lightest option made for the AUG.
MOA reticle. 30mm, heavy and over 4X do not belong on the AUG. |

My favorite optic so far it has been this Primary Arms 3x Micro Prism. Even though I don't particularly like chevron reticles. I think it would be perfect optic with a 1moa center dot instead the chevron. I just have a hell of a time zeroing chevrons. |
|
I can’t decide between a TA01NSN or eotech exps2. The buis on the acog seem kinda useless on the AUG.
|

Sig Romeo8T. Dot and circle dot reticles, 80,000 hour battery life, huge field of view. It's a hefty sucker, though.

I’m running a Meprolight RDS Pro V2 with a green bullseyes reticle. I’m running this optic on three rifles. My Aug, x95 and Tavor Sar. Really great optic and was on sale at Botach for $349.99 and that is an excellent price.

Otherwise bye bye knuckles.. I like the Burris MTAC. The MTAC has a lighted red dot circle cross hair thingy with 10 settings with zero power inbetween each setting. You can see the cross hair circle dot perfectly no power. The AUG is so accurate it's really worthy of a good scope instead of an LPVO or red dot. Attached File |

View Quote I tried an TA11 acog and an Aimpoint T2. Now I run the PA glx 2x as well. It’s a really good compromise between something useful up close and something that still has the ability to make hits at distance. I also really like that it isn’t completely reliant on batteries. |

I’ve got a Burris fixed 4x for the AUG until I decide on a dedicated optic. What mount or rings should I use?
