I was reading this article that shows off the new EVVG-B night vision in use by a small amount of ARMY troops.  It has built in heads up display, and allows accurate target engagement out past 300 meters.    Here is the link with some live video showing what it looks like.  More like a yellow Tron movie.

They might get 1033'd and sold off for profit (which you aren't technically supposed to do), but from what I've heard from guys who are in, most of the in-inventory 14s are pretty dogshit and blemmed to hell and back.
