| Can someone explain why the huge discrepancies in wait times now? I see some coming back in the usual two weeks and some taking 6 weeks to a month? I submitted another April 4 and thought is would be the same as the last few but recent data is confusing. Are these background check issues or multiple responsible parties or something else going on? |

Submitted 1-15-2019 Approved 4-23-2019 I find it curious that I sent an inquiry via “ask the expert” about the it’s status, and it was approved a couple of hours later on the same day. |

Same date as mine and still pending.
Asked today as they just approved a Form 4 would that help? The answer. Good Morning,
Thank you for contacting ATF with your concern. Background checks are not recycled. Each form submission is assigned a new – unique background check. The information will be sent to the FBI for processing upon receipt of the fingerprint card submission. |

Submitted 4/9/19 Approved 4/25/19 This occurred after I engaged in the following correspondence this morning. I sent this email this morning: I previously submitted ***********.This was recently approved. Please use this FBI background check for my newest submission ************. The response: “Good Morning, Thank you for contacting ATF with your concern. Background checks are not recycled. Each form submission is assigned a new – unique background check. The information will be sent to the FBI for processing upon receipt of the fingerprint card submission.” My reply: I understand they aren’t routinely recycled, but they can be. I’ve been through this many times. Thank you, Their response: I will forward your concern to an NFA Supervisor. I am not authorized to provide any type misleading guidance on behalf of NFA. |

E-Form 1 Trust 4 RP
Filed 3/15/2019 Prints received 3/21 I received an email from examiner Ripley that I attached 2 of the same form 23 for one RP 4/25/2019. Last night I corrected that error on the eform sight. This AM I have my approval waiting in my inbox. Approved 4/26/2019 |
