I could have sworn I’d seen them before but don’t see one listed now. I don’t want another takedown, just the standard rifle with irons so I can replace with Tech Sights and the short threaded barrel for suppressor use.

The anniversary model I have has factory sights and a threaded stainless barrel.

So the answer is/was, yes.

I think it was 18.5 though, right?

I have a Ruger Tactical that came in a funky plastic side folder stock. Sold the stock and dropped the action into a Hogue overmolded stock. It has a threaded barrel and is the reason I bought that particular rifle, as a suppressor host.

So yes, they have been made in the past, just don't know if they are still available.

If you can't find the Ruger, Feddersen makes one.  I don't own it, I do have his 16.25, threaded, fluted bull barrel which is a tack driver.

As long as you don't mind a Takedown. Ruger has a couple different take down models. Some are Distributor Exclusives. On edit I just noticed that you didn't want a take down.

Threaded 10/22s here.

Yeah, I’ve seen those but don’t want a takedown. I’ve got a Charger takedown but a removable barrel seems like a bad idea with a receiver mounted aperture sight.

I’ve already got a threaded barrel, but I want one cut for a front sight so I can install Tech Sights.

A “tactical” model similar to the above pictured takedown is on the ruger website in a non takedown version. Also a couple under the carbine section as well

The “tactical” model has no irons and all of those listed under carbine have 18.5” barrels.

Yes, it's 18".

Don't know who makes the T/C R22 barrels but it is 16" and threaded with a front sight.

I think one of the old design contest winners is what you are after for a factory rifle...

Otherwise, build one.

Yeah I ran into this same exact issue because I want an Appleseed rifle for the kid with a threaded barrel.

You can pay to have the barrel threaded and front sight moved back.

I think I may just go with a TCR22 instead.

Our NDS-44 front sight doesn't have to have anything cut as long as the Barrels is around .610" at the muzzle.

@mike_nds

I somehow missed this post but this looks like my best option. I think it would work with my current 18.5" threaded barrel or the 16" threaded tactical model. Made in the USA and by a site vendor as well. Thanks!

Nothing to add to this discussion other than saying that I love my NDS rear sight on my mannlicher 10/22.

I would've had the front too, but the full stock gets in the way.

What you are searching for is a Ruger 10/22 copper mica model, it has a 16.5” barrel and a threaded muzzle with a flash suppressor on it. It’s the model I have. You can usually find them on GB for around $375 now. Here’s my 16” copper mica model but I changed the stock to a Samson folder and also put on the Samson sights and barrel band, I love this 10/22 it’s my favorite 22

Or just get a T/C, that's their default configuration.

I held one recently and, while I did not get to hold it side by side with a Ruger 10/22 (I did hold an American .22), the stock seemed really short. I really like the modular stock Rugers, you could pick one of those up on eBay and sell the Thompson stock if it's a problem for you (and then you'd have the option of using the higher cheek piece). They seem lighter than the TCR but stiffer than the normal Ruger stock. Grip seems a touch longer too.

It’s undoubtedly a compact rifle. Although I was able to find a scope mounting location that allowed me at 5’10” and the wife at 5’2”, to get eye relief in summer and winter.

Of course it fits her better in winter and me in summer, but it’s still absolutely usable year round.

Enjoy how convenient it is to be so light and handy.

Maybe they have different models, but I’m positive mine was listed as a 17”bbl. Not really sure what you accomplish with the extra 7/8” than necessary to be legal. If it was for sight radius, I would’ve just upped it to 20-22”, especially when after 22” you about don’t need a silencer for SV.

This would be the perfect factory 10/22 configuration if they'd offer it with a threaded barrel.

Not wrong!   Plus it gets rid of that god awful rear sight.

The only addition I would make is a spot for a light.   Legal night hunting & vermin control are a real thing.
