I tried one on a rifle stock. Didn't turn out completely awful. The one i did was multi cam. I gomered it up a bit but it is camo so not bad from a distance.
There is a learning curve and i wasted some of the film due to errors on my part. Next time i try it, i think i would do better. That being said, next time i would find someone local to do it.
YMMV.
