Can anyone or any vendors comment on what is warranting the $2500ish price tag on the A4? I had been waiting and just saw the price, is this competing with the MAWL or is this just skim pricing? I did some brief looking into and other than a visible light what has been improved on?

It's on our web site and YES we have special pricing. Email us.

As for the unit, we have a pretty good description on our web site and also our Industry forum. We have worked with the A4 since the early first proto. It's IR illumimator (LED) will reach 400-500 yards and it has has a 4 step power up/down setting for all modes along with a wide room flood IR with a push of a button.

Great question, I have been very curious about the comparison between the A4 / MAWL / full power PEQ15. Pros / Cons etc etc

Took these last year at the "Friends of Pat" in Allience Ohio.

MAWL-DA at the 9:00 o'clock, MAWL C1+ at the 12:00 and the new D4 A4 at the 3. Range 400 yards or so. Taken from our archived thread HERE.

The A4 looks like the winter there. Of course that’s a pic and it might be different in person.

It’s very irritating that they went from the supposed $1699 to $2500. I know I keep saying it but I’d have one if it was $1698.

Same with a MAWL. but priced at almost a new pvs-14? Nope. Pass.

The MAWLS and the A4 will have clean illumination while the PEQ will have moon crater looking spots inside of the light at a wider focus. The PEQ spots are distracting and you might miss seeing an object because of it.

I’m still interested in this laser, does anyone have experience with it yet?
I’ve searched YouTube, and no one has a first hand video out about it yet?

I've been working with the A4 since the early prototype units. What would you like to know?

I would really like to see a video.
To see the white light compared to something like the new surefire m300.
How intuitive the controls are.
How bulky it is compared to other lasers.
Video through NOD’s, even tho I know the video won’t do it justice.

IM sent for pricing.

Will 45 degree offset buis clear the A4? They are good to go an a dbal, but sure if this has a different profile on that side...by the pics it looks like it will be good to go.

It looks like taps has only has 1 surefire and 1 laser lead.

You could probably fit an Insight dual plug switch. I assume you could just do the insight to Steiner mod. Google for pics.

Dvor had a pre-sale on Steiner-Steiner TAPS switches a few months back, but I don't know what ever happened to that.
