Looking at getting a Stoeger coach gun and doing a Form 1 on it. Around how much would a gunsmith charge to cut the barrels and all that? Also, if there are any online places that do good work I'm open to suggestions

Rose Action Sports (Guncat on here) has done great work for many on this forum. I did it myself with a chop saw.

What did you do to close up the barrel gap on that. I like it, looks very clean.

@osprey21 I just bought a Stevens 311 based on these pictures alone.  Going to copy this awesomeness.

@osprey21

That is sooo bad ass. Did you take pictures along the way as you were doing it? Would make for an amazing how-to thread.

Would love to hear some more information about exactly what you bought and the process you used to make it look like that... How you cut it, soldered it, blackened it, did you cut/buy the grip, etc. Also, what type of shogun you used.

I would LOVE to build one of those and I think it's within my skill set (we shall see).

Also, forgive my ignorance on AOW, but I'd this considered a SBS ($200 form 1) or an AOW ($5 form 1)?

It's a SBS so $200 tax to make.

An AOW ($5 tax) would have to be built on a virgin receiver.

What is the barrel length on it?

also curious on barrel length. I have just filed to cut down my 311 and trying to decide what length to go with.

Building your own AOW is still $200. It's $5 to transfer on a form 4 once made.

I thought it was $5 when transferred from an C2 or SOT to you.

I could be wrong.

It is-but that would mean they "built" it, and still doesn't address that you'd need a "never been a shotgun" receiver, not to mention the much longer wait for paperwork to clear.

Looming for the right donor gun to chop to 8-12 inches myself.
