Does anyone know how composite plated parts look under NODs? Wondering if they have any special reflectivity to be aware of, I am pondering having some handgun slides done.
For clarity, composite plating for firearms purposes is to my understanding typically electroless nickel-PTFE, such as Robar's NP3 or Wright Armory's NT7, or else electroless nickel boron nitride (ENBN), such as CCR's CPII. ENBN is separate and distinct from nickel boron (NiB), such as ZeroFail or NiB-X. |

Years ago I performed some tests on Kat Coatings holographic coating and found some composit structures had increased reflectivity with IR lum due to the resin content. Once I wet sanded the structure, the reflectivity was drastically reduced. Hope this helps. |
