Waiting on a couple parts to complete my latest build, the gas tube being one of them. The Wilson Combat barrel I have has a proprietary intermediate length gas tube that is uncoated stainless steel. Will H series Cerakote work on a high temperature part like a gas tube? Sources I’ve found said they can run as hot as 600-800 degrees F but Cerakote doesn’t list the maximum temp for that product in their H series technical data.

Coating the tube will also keep it from cooling down faster

Dip it in some muriatic acid for an hour and it will brown it.
