Home depot isn’t bad. I think $23.99 for an 8-pack of AA or a 6-pack of 123s, and 10% off with a mil discount makes this where I buy a pack of AAs or 123s each time I’m there.

Cheapest I've ever seen is at my local commissary. Pretty sure they're around $9.79 or something. After seeing the prices on Amazon and other places I couldn't believe it and immediately bought like five packs.

Just an FYI, battery junction regular price on those is $3.13 unit cost, only 26 cents more per battery, all day, every day, in case you need them at a less convenient not-on-sale time.

It's really simple. It was a deal. Now it's not. You missed it. That's how deals work. Stop thinking about my nuts.
If you want to know a number, just take the lowest price available right now, and know that this was substantially less. Every retailer has variable prices, any link to anything is going to be variable, so don't be surprised when this happens to you in the future. Welcome to buying anything online. |

It's helpful to know what past sale prices were so that you can evaluate future sales. It's the same reason that in the EE when something sells you're required to leave the price visible.
