I am going to try my hand a Cerakoting. I have done parkerizing, so I am not a total newb to finishes, but I had a couple of questions that the hive might be able to answer.

1. Can additional layers of Cerakote be applied after the initial layer has been cured?
2. When doing a stenciled pattern, I have read that you flash the initial layer at 180 for 15 min, then apply the next color, and all layers must be cured within 24 hrs. Can you cure the first layer then apply the second, and cure again? (yes I realize this is sort of like question #1).

As mentioned, you have a window to add the next layer. I did however do this just to see how it works and added a layer after 24 hours. It did adhere fine but I was able to scratch it off with my fingernail with not much effort. Pro Tip - try and add as thin of layers as you can so it blends better and if you should get the layer too thick and feel where it meets the next color, just use a blue greenie pad or fine wool and lightly smooth the transition (try it somewhere inconspicuous first).
