We have been running the AP53 both suppressed and unsuppressed and can confirm the thread pattern is 1/2x28 , The AP53 is a gorgeous pistol and glad to finally get a chance to test one and a BIG Thank You to the MKE/ Century Arms team for making this happen ! |

Newbie HK guy question (s): 1. Does it come with the four position pictograph grip? Sure with the AP5's did. 2. I've got a DLO reg pack inbound. My first HK buy. Can I change the semi pack with the DLO SEF pack and still have safe, semi, auto? The burst just not working obviously. Or do I have to buy a new SEF grip. I'd like to keep the pinto grip to save funds. I already know about getting the trip, etc for the pack to work. This is simply about the above 2 questions. I can't wait for them to show up. |

Looks like the SD clone comes with the ambi trigger pack, and all the pictures of the '53 have it as well. The MKE guns have a sear block that prevents the insertion of a bolt carrier with an auto sear into the receiver. Some people say you can't remove that under any circumstances, and others say if you put a legacy style 'shelf' on the front trigger housing pin first, you can remove the sear block. This will allow the installation of any lawfully owned full auto trigger pack on the gun. If your DLO pack is SEF, you'll need a new trigger housing, weld on a legacy shelf, and 'clip and pin' a new SEF housing, then go shooting. If your DLO pack has been modified for ambi, you can recycle the trigger housing that came with the gun. You'll need a new bolt carrier, or have one of several smiths weld up your sear trip on your MKE bolt carrier. I personally am an MKE full auto enjoyer with a registered sear in an SEF pack. |

But is it an ambit trigger pack or a SEF with red pictograms that don't really mean anything? Serious question. I just figured the SD gun and these 51 were just red pictogram grips, but still just SEF type with the notch on top of the selector hole. Or am I wrong? Edit: spelling |

I have one and it's a neutered version of the pack it represents Edit: spelling It's an ambi pack that has pins brazed in to block the selector from going past semi. |

So far nobody has asked the right questions to Century. What type of locking piece comes in the gun? Were these built using an original HK TDP, or did they just cut down and convert T43/Z43 (HK33) components like the carrier or cocking tube support? |

To be honest the sales rep in that video doesn't sound like he's very familiar with the firearms. I doubt he knows the answers to those questions. His answer to the question about full auto carriers was wrong. The MKE guns have blocks welded in the receiver specifically to prevent the use of full auto carriers. |

I have a PTR built c93, it's been perfect, I had a paddle mag installed and had it checked over. Bolt gap hasn't changed after thousand rounds. I put the correct furniture on it, and for the price I couldn't be happier for a sear host. |

Played with both the pistol and SBR AP53s Century had on display at SHOT show this week. The safety selectors on their lowers were super stiff on both, actually took a ton of pressure to actuate compared to almost every other HK clone that I’ve owned or shot. Love an HK53 but still debating if I’ll get one. Love that they are threaded 1/2”-28. I should’ve bought a century C93P when they were $700 a number of years ago, I did get a C93 rifle for $600 back then |
