A few years ago there were some "Japanese 1.5x cross hair reticle optic tubes" sold on other sites. These scope tubes might fit a genuine Steyr AUG, but most people had to use a Dremel or drill to open up the turret holes in the tube. Why? Because they're airsoft optic tubes.

This basic reticle was never an option on any AUG or derivative gun. Swarovski, Khales, or Meopta do not make the tube nor the glass.

If you come across these, they are not a genuine product. If you've already bought one of these from a seller who misrepresented that these are a "rare" Steyr AUG optic tube, you might want to speak with the seller.

Ar15.com's EE moderators havn't done anything about the ad, and I can't post this info in it without my account getting locked for "stomping on the seller's ad", so this is a warning to all. Don't get taken.

Ad is two months old and we are talking about a a $50 shipped item that seller is not outright presenting as a genuine factory part.  It is fact a "rare find", there doesn't appear to another source for them.  OP of this thread appears to be the guru of Steyr tubes, as he is in almost every discussion so he is probably correct on providence of these parts.
