Anyone here have one? Post pics please
I was thinking of getting a 16.5" rem 700 sps tac and throwing it in an MDT LSS or ESS chassis
Also for those who do have a 300 blk bolt what is your favorite load? I will be running a can 99% of the time

ETA 4/2/2018

Got her all setup today, looking forward to shooting this weekend. Gonna shoot her a bit and then order a new chassis. What do you guys think?

That’s a good looking rifle! What do you prefer to shoot from that, subs or supers?

I have the Ranch 300 BLK rotary mag model* as well. I shoot 208 grain subs, handloaded with Accurate 1680 (this powder cycles gas guns perfectly). They are quiet and group well. Make sure you know your drops for different distances, subs are extreme compared to what you are used to with supers. It is a fun rifle that is great for teaching youth and adults.

*I would purchase the Ranch 300 BLK AR mag model #26968 if buying today.

Here it is with a SilencerCo Harvester mounted:

Funny, that is a Truglo 4x32 Compact Crossbow Scope that I robbed just to get something to shoot with the day I purchased the rifle! Amazingly, the crossbow drop lines are useful with subsonic ammo with a little trial and error for matching. I now have a variable power Nikon on it but as a budget option fixed 4 powers are hard to beat.

I put one together with a Savage Axis...16" barrel and I've been using it last three hunting seasons in PA for whitetail.

Works very well with my TBAC and subsonic loads with Lehigh Defense 194gr ME bullets.

I've got a Ruger American with the rotary mag. I am very happy with it except for the mag (will only work reliably with 3 rounds). Now that the AR mag model is out, that is the way to go. I will eventually convert mine over to aics mags.

Not a bolt action, but I have a single shot CVA scout with 16" barrel.  OAL is very short for can.  Love this setup.  I really like S&B factory 200gr subs.  Super quiet.

Yes that was at 100 yards. It shoots Remington 220 subsonics almost as well. In all fairness, I’m not sure I or the gun can shoot that well repeatedly, but is a very accurate rifle.

I'm torn between the cz527 and the Ruger.
The CZ feels nicer and has metal magazines($), but the ruger is $150 cheaper, has a rail, and uses cheap AR magazines.

Has Ruger fixed the light primer strike issue?

Anybody who has shot/owned both have an opinion?

I would like to know as well, I’m more leaning towards a Ruger now since Remington shit the bed (see original post) and because of price.

A CZ would be awesome but I’m not sure MDT makes the chassis for that (also see original post) for my case

I owned an old one that had light primer strikes and sent it back to Ruger.

They kept it

I was hesitant to buy another, but I liked the gun and wanted an affordable suppressor host. I’m glad I did. This one has been flawless with multiple brands of ammo.

Sooo I ended up pulling the trigger on this one from the EE - https://www.ar15.com/forums/equipment-exchange/SPF-Remington-700-SPS-in-300BLK-Green-Hogue-Stock-Larue-base-575-shipped/93-1738663/

Needless to say I’m super excited, can someone here recommend some glass that would suffice for range/hunting, around $300 or so?

I have a mossberg MVP that's been re-barreled in 300 blk.  It so freakin' quiet...it's a giggle machine.  It's just fun.

Ruger didn't have a mag fed model out when I was looking, and the MVP mag is a bit wobbly.  I may have to look at getting another.

Nice!

I put together a 10" gun in .300 Whisper around 15 years ago. It's still a lot of fun.

Heavies work well, but I also like shooting the little 85 and 90 gr. XTPs. They expand at subsonic velocities, and make great plinking ammo. And since it's a single-shot, I don't have to worry about bullet profile not feeding right.

And I was a little surprised to find a 90 gr. bullet still hits pretty much the same POI at 100 yards as does a 220 gr. bullet.

That should be fun. I've got a custom based on a 700 action that is really quiet with subs. I've been using Corbon factory stuff so far.  Almost out of those so I need to get going with reloading.

It’s a vortex viper gen 2, 3-15x44. It’s a bit overkill for what I need but I figured it beats walking down to check my groups and I can just see my holes from the scope. I may eventually throw this on my win mag and get like a 3-9 or 2.5-10 or something of the likes. But the glass on the vortex is very crisp, I sighted it all in today and I love it

That’s a shame, damn. I shot 60 rounds today and had no issues at all, though that’s just a drop in the bucket. I’ve read that some had issues with extractions which was an easy fix with a new extractor, so I shall see down the road.

CZ 527 Suppressor Ready model here. Got it in November but didn't get to really working with it until January.

I was using Sierra 175gr Match Kings with Alliant Unique. It's incredibly quiet. I've since tried some 190gr SMKs, that may be my new go-to bullet for target shooting with it, but I haven't really had a chance to work with that bullet yet. Outlaw State makes a 190gr EXOT I'd like to try for hunting some sub-deer size critters if it shoots the 190gr SMKs well.

One thing of note, I'm glad I planned on reloading for this rifle anyway, because before I got my dies I bought a few varieties of factory loaded subsonic ammo just to try it out, and all three types were almost always going supersonic in a 16" bolt gun.

Here's the only target I have a picture of, and it's only at 50 yards, but if I remember right it was 5 shots.
